ILAPPA 2024 Conference Hosted by
Chartered in 1895, Northern Illinois University first opened its doors as the Northern Illinois State Normal School in 1899 as a teachers’ school. We have since grown into a world-class, research-focused public institution that attracts students from across Illinois, the country and the world. With a Fall 2023 enrollment of 15,504 students, NIU offers 174 degree programs through seven colleges, providing amazing learning opportunities.
NIU’s central campus consists of 756 acres. NIU’s facilities include over 7.6 million gross square feet in 118 buildings, ranging from housing to specialized laboratories, recreation center facilities to high tech classrooms, playing fields to libraries.

Supervisor Toolkit Registration
March 10-12, 2024: APPA’s Supervisor’s Toolkit Training has been specifically designed to meet the needs of the facilities management professional. It is a structured, open-ended, and pragmatic approach to developing supervisors.
It is not so much a teaching program as a development process, designed to help supervisors realize both personal and professional growth. The program has been newly designed as a full three days of training. This is not your typical training. Join us for a fun engaging training with a Facilitator that works in Facilities Management just like you do.
Breakfast and Lunch each day as well as the 3-Day Training are all included in the price of $400.00 per person. This program is regularly over $800/person.
Training Agenda
- Sun. March 10: START 1:00 pm – END 5:30 pm with dinner to follow
- Mon. & Tues. March 11 & 12: START 7:45 am – END 4:45 pm
- Breakfast served at 7:00 am
- Coffee, water, soda and snacks available throughout the day
- Lunch served at 11:30 am, Class restarts at 12 noon
- Dinner on your own on Monday evening
- Certificates presented during the ceremony on Tuesday evening in the Husky Den
- Wed. March 13: ILAPPA Annual Conference kicks off at 9:00 am
